@marrold my copy of that tape arrived today. I’ve just digitised it (editing/uploading etc will happen tomorrow)

As suspected, it’s music intermixed with sketches and a sales pitch.

It’s a bit odd, it seems to be targeted at people who would listen to it in the car, but I can picture anyone actually doing that!

I think the music is “probably” done by uncredited cover artists, but that might not be enough to avoid content match… but I’ll put the full mp3 in the usual place when it’s ready 😀

@lpbkdotnet Interesting, any indication it might be used in a shop or a coach or somewhere with a more captive audience?

@marrold some of the “bits” seem to link into a narrative arc, it feels too long form for an in-store thing.

My best guess is that it was either a giveaway left behind at a company by a sales rep, or a targeted mail out going to sales directors or execs at potential companies.

It hits the “this hadn’t launched yet, you want to be in on day one” buttons pretty hard, which lines up with the whole yuppie 80s loadsamoney thing
