Seems like the salient thing about the Santos story is something no one is articulating out loud: in a normal situation, GOP would be happy to throw him overboard and eliminate the embarrassment but their razor-thin House majority forces them to defend every seat

Idk what McCarthy can really offer him at this point though considering how legally screwed he probably is

@mtsw not telling him he won't be seated is a gift in and of itself.

Nothing long term sure, but McCarthy could simply end any chance of actually being seated right now.

That would of course take backbone which is sorta Kevin's problem
