Some people wonder why I have a deep distrust / dislike of pretty much every large tech company. It’s because the Internet was the most important invention of my lifetime, I’m old enough to remember a distinct before & after. But every large tech company has at some point tried or succeeded to undermine it because of their own interests. I will always be side-eyeing them because they’ve earned it.

It definitely feels like we’ve reached the bottom of the barrel with all the big tech names, and are just waiting for someone new, small and exciting to come along to shake things up and maybe, just maybe come up with a business model other than hoovering up user data and showing ads for once
