@igd_news What does that have to do with fascism/anti-fascism?
@clipperchip @igd_news try paying literally any attention to contemporary fascist discourse
@andrea @igd_news And you should try a dictionary.
@clipperchip @andrea There's been a rise in far-Right attacks and mobilizations against the LGBTQ community, which have manifested in everything from protests to mass shootings. At the same time, far-Right media has taken to branding LGBTQ as "groomers" while the Republican party has rushed to pass a slew of bills attacking queer and trans people and health-care. This Week in Fascism – It's Going Down

A weekly roundup of the latest and greatest happenings in the anti-fascist world. Each column features a roundup of news, actions, doxxes and current calls to action.

It's Going Down
@igd_news @andrea I'm not criticizing the message, nor am I disagreeing with that. But the hallmark of fascism is a conspiracy between industry/corporations and the government.
@clipperchip @igd_news @andrea It also attempts to find an enemy to rile people up. The "well actually" messaging on a definition of fascism isn't particularly useful for the fight against those eager to destroy us.

@YourAnonNews @igd_news @andrea I don't think it's in any way helpful to dilute the meaning of words to the point that they lose all meaning. Pretty much anything that only slightly goes against the leftist narrative is called "fascist" nowadays. But do it your own way and watch society divide more and more because people will not be able to understand each other anymore.

#TowerofBabel

@clipperchip @igd_news @andrea Calling out the people moving to set up and destroy various others as "fascists" is hardly diluting the meaning.
@YourAnonNews @igd_news @andrea Calling them out is fine, but using words to do so where you redefine the meaning in a way it suits you is not.
@YourAnonNews @igd_news @andrea Homophobia != Fascism. They are completely different concepts.
@clipperchip @igd_news @andrea Antisemitism doesn't = fascism either. Connect the dots and try being less condescending.
@YourAnonNews @igd_news @andrea They are not the same either, indeed. You can call me condescending, but that's not my my motivation here. Btw, you'll be quickly called an anti-semitist if you sympathise with Palestina. Guess that makes those people fascists as well.
@clipperchip @igd_news @andrea Cordial reminder to just stop before you come off completely disconnected.
