I've seen a lot of TV shows in the past few years that tried to counteract televisual "copaganda." But I feel like #TheAfterparty did a superb job. You get really invested in Aniq and the show slowly builds the fear that he'll wind up arrested for a crime he didn't commit because of that shitty/lazy detective from LA. #noxp

@charliejane On the podcast front, I listened to Serial Season 1 and Season 3.

I felt the narrator spent too much of Season 1 taking guilt as something that needed to be disproved, rather than seeing the need to start fresh, long after the original process could be seen to not hold water. Maybe for some structural podcast reasons.

@emergentnexus @charliejane serial season 1 felt like the podcaster got charmed by adnan and lost her objectivity. season 3 was excellent though.
@charliejane it managed to do that while also being a good, fun, compelling show.
