@LauraMcKnight not a name suggestion but wondering if I'm recognizing a "squishmallow"? ♥️

Our kidlet got two. This one is named "Renard." Kidlet accepted name straight from toy company. And she just yelled: "I liked it." (A little surprised 9yo didn't add: "sue me.")

@wait_sasha It is actually a squishmallow knockoff 🫣

My kid is VERY into squishmallows suddenly, but she saw this one on a YouTube video and that's how this discussion started!

@wait_sasha also meant to say my kid never keeps their official names *except* for the one named Laura, because she thinks it's hilarious to "trick" me by talking to it

We also have a giant beaver that she named Justin Beaver

@LauraMcKnight our kids are peas in a pod. ♥️ Incidentally, having enjoyed My Little Pony, SheRa, Carmen San Diego, Owl House, Bluey and, most recently, Gravity Falls what should we watch next?
@wait_sasha Pokémon is a BIG favorite here (the seasons are scattered across streaming platforms which is sort of annoying but also means you probably have access to some). She also enjoyed Pete The Cat, Creative Galaxy, and Gabby's Dollhouse, but those might skew too young now?

@LauraMcKnight we watched every episode of Creative Galaxy when she was younger. ♥️

Pokemon sounds interesting. Sarah made us Pokemon costumes for Halloween. And kidlet is wearing Eevee costume where she is posing with "Renard."

Kidlet says there are gazillions of Pokemon seasons? Is there a good entry point? My Little Pony and SheRa were basically different shows in earlier incarnations. Is it like that?

@wait_sasha sort of - we got started on the original series from 1997 (because I played the theme song for her, which is objectively the best, and she loced it) and worked our way through somewhat chronologically, but really each series stands alone pretty well. There may be minor Easter eggs calling back to previous series but it doesn't affect your understanding/enjoyment. The Johto Journeys is probably her favorite/most rewatched; I am pretty sure that's on Netflix right now
@wait_sasha OH your kid might also like Glitter Force, that was a hit here. Sort of a Sailor Moon ripoff
