Scott Morrison is probably one of the worst prime ministers this country has ever seen.
That his duplicity, his self-interested persona and his less-than-stellar past history has only started to surface in the last 12 months is a surprise to me, as it’s been there for decades - well before he conned his way into politics. I suspect there are people who have protected him because there is a lot to hide.
I did a bit of research on him while he was still PM. It’s amazing what you can find on the Internet - and probably more amazing is what still remains hidden from us.

The Failure of a Faux PM

Scott Morrison has always wanted to be prime minister. Not because he thought he could do the job with any degree of integrity or ability, but because he considered the job a title rather than a responsibility - and a stepping stone to prestige, power and control. As a classic narcissist - he has a preoccupation with achieving his own success, a grandiosity of self-importance, sense of entitlement and lack of compassion for others. This is precisely why he is so limited in his ability to be a go

@ShiannonC Great work - thank you. This line is the one that strikes me the most.

"How Morrison became prime minister is a mystery, unless you believe it was his duplicity that eventually got him there."

The only rationale that I can offer is that his ruthless, control freak nature was attractive (at least at the outset) to the those pulling the strings behind the scenes in the #LNP. Abbott was a loose cannon with limited public appeal & the multi millionaire Turnbull was probably always destined to be there for a short time and the Liberals could see someone prepared to do what ever it took to win government who could appeal to the masses.

@CarringBush2020 For this Qld voter it was the fact that I only knew him as a fabulist from his time as Treasurer whereas I knew Peter Dutton very much better as a brutaliser of refugees and designer of Border Force badges and uniforms. Queensland's Home Affairs Himler without the hairline.

@ScottGrimmett

🤬 I think that hard bastard (and absolutely justified) reputation built on his treatment of refugees will always stain his tenure and ultimately mean they will remain on the opposition bench

Leopards don't change their spots and no amount of #NewsCorpse spin is going to polish that 💩 .
