Proud Boys #Jan6 Seditious Conspiracy trial begins! My favorite & most consequential find, Philly leader Zach Rehl inside the Capitol, arrested 3 weeks later.

#osint crowdsourcing as explained in my pinned interview. Many were searching, I was vaguely aware. Looking in a NYer article for something else, I noticed good photos so posted them all, forcing myself to go to the end, where this pic was. Only afterwards did I recognize him! Philly Inquirer linked to my tweet. https://twitter.com/jhop_phl/status/1365071030100897797?s=20&t=FwiGn7LYrkhUG0iC1R1jUA

Photo credit to Balazs Gardi/The New Yorker for the important photo that captured Zach Rehl inside the Capitol in Sen. Jeff Merkley's office (see above).

Press was in the Capitol already for the electoral count, and some brave reporters stayed to document #Jan6, which is why there are photos from publications like The New Yorker and National Geographic.

“Pictures located in this article for @NewYorker, can’t believe they went unnoticed for so long. This is inside Oregon @SenJeffMerkley’s office at the Capitol. https://t.co/suh4kSKLLu”

Good description of the experience of the official press on #Jan6 by Louie Palu https://www.nationalgeographic.com/photography/article/louie-palu-interview-inside-the-capitol
Funny detail is that he decided to stay at the Capitol because he felt the Trump Rally was too unsafe with so many unmasked.
@OpalKatz @jhop_phl National Geographic shot some excellent photos.
