@shimokitajer ha, I was looking at my BGG gameplay entry for SHASN only to learn we've played a game together. I knew your name looked familiar but I just thought we met on Twitter.
@pgh_gamer Yep, I readlly don't make a habit of tracking people down on social media after I play random games with them at conventions, but your name popped up on Twitter commenting on a post from somebody else I followed just after Origins so I went for it. Nice to re-meet you.
@shimokitajer I bought SHASN, and thought I had found a couple guys to play with me tonight, but alas, one doesn't like area control. Guess I'll have to make due teaching/playing 1889. Turning two new people on to 18xx, one who lives a block away, is a pretty great alternative.
@gpage@shimokitajer that was us playing when you stopped by. I liked it enough to order a copy. It's a fun twist on area control. I'm now trying to track down two of the expansion decks: Rome & Brexit.
@pgh_gamer I liked it too but not quite enough to order a copy at the going price. I think I liked it as a gaming experience more than I would like it as a game with repeated plays, if that makes any sense. Really glad I got to play it though.
@shimokitajer Yeah, I lucked out. My friend knew I liked it, and saw a copy at her FLGS in OH, and asked if I wanted her to pick it up for me. It was a very good price.
