Got some education today (i.e. captured Oxford). First attempt at This War Without an Enemy by Scott H. Moore from NUTS Publishing, really enjoyed the experience, especially the battle and siege system, as well as how fast paced the game feels.
@pijus This looks great, but I recall thinking it played a bit long. How much time for the full game? Thanks!
@TEK963 We haven't played the full game yesterday, and we still needed quite a bit of time for getting acquainted with the rules, so I can't say. We are planning to do a full game next, I'll let you know!
@pijus @TEK963
I liked the play length, delivered a nice sweep of the conflict.
@Volko @pijus I appreciate the feedback. Unfortunately I don’t have an opponent who will tolerate a “long” game. 3 hours is about the limit. If I recall correctly I think you enjoy Crusader Rex. Is 3 hours a realistic timeframe to get this played?
@TEK963 @pijus
Hi! Crusader Rex at speed, yes I think 3 hours is realistic (even faster on Rally the Troops).
@TEK963 @Volko so, I played This War Without an Enemy a bit more. I think the full scenario may take a bit more than three ours if no early victory, for mid-lenght scenario, 2.5 hours seems about right. We still spent some time going through the rulebook, so for the full game, I think around 3.5-4 hours is likely.
