This was reported with no sourcing in a tweet that was linked here on Mastodon, saying Andrew Weissman was reporting on this yesterday on MSNBC (Not so - try searching social media or googling it!). It was discussed on @DeadlineWH
by one of the NYT reporters yesterday.
This does seem to be a big deal in tying the Trump election in 2016 to longer term Russian goals. It is also a lesson - give your sources when you toot or tweet!
