I *insist* on referring to the most common 64-bit desktop CPU architecture as AMD64.

Like, I will never not remind people that Intel's main competitor ended up defining their transition to 64-bit — not because I like AMD or anything, but just because the whole Itanium debacle is hilarious.

@katja It's even more hilarious when you realize that due to a contract with HP, they had to keep supporting it to 2021.
