Very good summary (in German) of #Receptiogate, including some new statements and thoughtful commentary in the context of Swiss academia and funding practices:

@Marphurius #Rossi seems to say that the stock photos on the #Receptio pages are due to a technical problem. That doesn't seem credible to me. Among other things, #Kidd posted a link showing pages that have recently been deleted from reception.eu: https://web.archive.org/web/diff/20221130193323/20221225114026/https://www.receptio.eu/operationalstaff There I find an image of myself, clearly a photomontage that I never knew anything about.

@Marphurius Along with other notable colleagues, I seem to have been listed on the Receptio.eu site for a while as a member of #Receptio's organizational staff. I never was. Rather, #Rossi asked me, together with a number of very renowned colleagues, some time ago if I would like to be a member of the scientific advisory board of the so-called “Dante Institute” of Receptio.
@Marphurius I took part in the first meeting of this body and then carefully withdrew, obviously they wanted to use us primarily to involve illustrious guests. As far as I know, there have been no activities of this institute, we haven’t received any update via email. #receptio #receptiogate
@huss The website has included various lists of people with photos - the "operational staff" has been deleted, and the "board of directors/scientific committee" (for the center) and "editorial board" (for the publishing house) seem to have evolved quite a bit. I did notice your name and photo in one of the lists.
@Marphurius at first there was for some time a correct information on the recently constituted scientific board of the Dante Institute (I once looked at those pages, relatively early in 2022). Obviously, this was removed at some point and substituted by those fake pictures that showed all of us with the same background as the fake lawyer and the fake staff of #receptio. All relevant info about the Dante Institute has been deleted, incl email addresses of #Rossi et al.
@Marphurius Little correction: the lawyer’s bookshelves were different from the others. Probably because he wasn’t supposed to work with us in the same IKEA environment.
@huss Yes, the lawyer photo already came with its own bookshelf (great find!), unlike all the other stock pics
