From today's NYT: "a labor shortage that policymakers worry is keeping wages ... stubbornly elevated. That could force the Federal Reserve to raise rates more than it otherwise would, risking a recession." The article also find it shocking that 80% of those age 70-74 don't have jobs. Crisis: not enough seniors in dire poverty forced to work fast food! Better ramp up interest rates so young people can't buy homes. We must all be proud of record corporate profits going into ultra-rich pockets!

@ConstitutiveLaw The term "crackpot realism" was new to me. I loved it, so I Googled and read a few articles about C. Wright Mills, who'd coined the phrase. Yep. On-target. Those who truly don't understand any of the world outside their narrow specialty as it fits within an unquestioned ideological framework. Thanks for the phrase--I will likely use it in the future.
