#LangToot @languagelovers
@senem @languagelovers there are too many apps to go through all the differences π But generally they provide a course (Duolingo, Busuu, LingoDeer, Memrise, ...), memorisation tools (Anki, Drops), language exchange (Tandem, HelloTalk), or interactive play (Polygloss). Most apps are freemium, with free versions supported by ads or restricting the features (or both).

@senem @languagelovers I'm not sure what I'd recommend for Japanese. I usually start out with Duolingo, but their Japanese course isn't great (often they give you the wrong readings for kanji, and I found it pretty weird how the word bank handles verb endings). I've heard that LingoDeer does a much better job with Japanese, but I don't have any experience with it.
My Japanese is a bit rusty but I did 5 years at school, 3 years at uni, and lived there for a year.
