I want to put the drone up and get some video, but we're about 15 degrees below it's acceptable operating temperature. I'm afraid that at several hundred feet it will impersonate a rock.

Anyone have any issues operating a drone in very low temps?

@noid For practical purposes, you'll just be flying on the equivalent of a worn out battery pack. If you normally land before it starts screaming at you, it'll be fine.

Yes, there are temperatures at which the battery's output will drop low enough it can't power the drone; but it's not a binary thing, it's not going to happen instantly, you'll have warnings. Besides, you don't want to be out in that sort of cold anyway.

@Name_Too_Long Yeah. I ended up flying for a bit, but you could pretty much watch the battery meter dropping down by the second. Got some nice shots. This thing is a really nifty bit of kit and I've barely explored the features on it.
