In The #Netherlands, #teletext is still a big tradition. Public broadcaster NOS upkeeps the service for three national television stations with news, sports, weather, travel, program information, and subtitles for every show.

I like that they still offer the simple style pages besides possibly the newer formats.

Same in #FRG, btw.

As far as I know they never went for the newer Teletext implementations due to compatibility concerns.

Regarding the DRM idea: interesting. Do you think there would be a good use case for it?

@daan my first exposure to teletext (televideo) was a graphical rendition of Santa Claus, on the main page (100) of the Italian Public TV service, RAI.
I think I was 4, and could barely read. The audio of the TV channel carrying the pages was playing and I was very confused, trying to reconcile it with what I was looking at.
