I like following people who oppose NHS privatisation. If that’s you, could you pls share this post and follow me, and I’ll follow you back? Trying to find ‘my people’ 🤣💙
@jujuliagrace ... private funding does not promote health for all...the state should fund health and education as fundamentals ... #MMT...
@jujuliagrace I absolutely support you and will boost … feel free not to follow me if you don’t want to: I just post random nonsense as well as the occasional bit of politics.
@jujuliagrace I'm already following you and admire you for sticking up for what is right.

@jujuliagrace

This website is a excellent resource, I found 659 of my Twitter followers who've also got Mastodon accounts. It also allows you to automatically follow those Twitter followers. It takes a while, but it's so much quicker than doing it manually.

Hope it helps. 🙏👍🙂

@jujuliagrace I support you wholeheartedly. I live in Australia and I would hate to see our Medicare (similar to your NHS) be destroyed.

Keep up the good work. We have 3 of our grandies living with us now & they're asleep waiting for the big day tomorrow.

@jujuliagrace I don't live or work in the UK; my hometown is Chennai, India. But, I visit the UK frequently and have a reasonably good overview of the NHS and healthcare in your country. In my, opinion, it is the most equitable healthcare delivery system that I have seen. Yes, it may be accused of being slow, but healthcare expenses don't leave you impoverished like it does in many nations of the developing world; not to mention the most ridiculously obese system - the USA. Keep the NHS.
@arjun @jujuliagrace The NHS has been absolutely ruined by the tories. It takes a month to speak to a gp on the phone. They don't care if we die for their corruption and profit.
@jujuliagrace Great to see you here. Musk sent some cryptospam through my account and banned me forever for 'spam'.
My account was about unions, the NHS and left concerns.
Twitter was excellent for long-covid people. Glad to see you here.
@jujuliagrace Twitter still has the weight of numbers and the influence that brings. I still look at it, but I don’t post on there anymore. I’m not in favour of private ownership of any media.
@jujuliagrace lucky I'm already following you 🤣
@jujuliagrace I've experienced the horror of the US' health "care" system. It works well for the insurance companies. They would love to have control over the UK's NHS. Don't go there.
@jujuliagrace I live in Mississippi now. Black women are 8 times more likely to die in childbirth, something nor unrelated to healthcare which can be good if you can pay, but which can be non-existent if you can't.
@jujuliagrace Absolutely. The NHS saved my life.
@jujuliagrace Irish we could bring the NHS up to full strength once more...
@jujuliagrace great to see you on here. I followed you on the bird site, but got a permanent ban in February for suggesting that Liz Truss didn’t gain political power by her intellectual powers.
@jujuliagrace I'm in the U.S. If one thinks privatization would be good, just look at the mess we deal with.
I listened to a UK podcast where a woman was ranting that it took 3 hours to get a hospital bed; I shared that with friends at work while we were talking about it taking MONTHS to get into a hospital.
Everything can be improved, but UK people should treasure the NHS. Keep it healthy and working the way it does. Don't fall into the privatization trap. Rich SOBs just want your money.
@jujuliagrace yup - right now I’m in hospital visiting a parent that is in a bit of a bad way and might not even be awake for Christmas let alone out, but is getting great care from the ICU staff. I am immensely grateful that can happen on a public healthcare system. To privatise that care and block it off to all but the richest would be horrific.
@jujuliagrace Already following, Julia – Merry Christmas!

@jujuliagrace
That's me Julia, I have been fighting this since the days of Thatcher. Too old to go out waving banners but........I keep trying. Retired A/E and Nurse Practitioner

#SaveOurNHS

@jujuliagrace How about Americans who wish we HAD an NHS system here? 🙂
@jujuliagrace I would like to think America paid you guys back for that whole revolution/1812 thing by demonstrating what privatized healthcare looks like. I assure you, it's so much worse than it looks. This makes us even.

@jujuliagrace

Hi Dr Julia

Have a great Christmas 🎄

💙💙💙

@jujuliagrace
Hi Julia. Was already following you, as I did over on Twitter. I loathe what the Tories are doing to the #NHS - we need to fight together ✊️
@jujuliagrace @aral I’m 💯 opposed. The NHS is absolutely fantastic and must be protected at all costs. 🎉
@jujuliagrace Always gappy to spread the message about this important work. Your NHS is at risk. Following you Ju, Merry Christmas.
@jujuliagrace
Following you already and would welcome a follow back because I belief the more we stand together to #SaveOurNHS the better.
@jujuliagrace I think privatisation is a terrible idea which should not take place. People will suffer terribly if it happens.

@jujuliagrace you can use https://www.movetodon.org

@jujuliagrace I don't live in the UK now, but I have lived in two other countries with a social insurance model. The NHS remains the most efficient system in terms of cost of collection and avoiding the insurance claims to process, which just increases paper work. Among it's problems are lack of funding, but people also have no idea what treatment costs. The latter (even if you don't pay anything) is a great way to appreciate a system. I recently saw my med bills.
@rodlux @jujuliagrace
People seem to think that because it’s free at the point of delivery that it has no value.
@jujuliagrace At first, I thought "oh man this libertarians came to mastodon too" but then I saw your profile and all your irony trolled me 😅 😂
@jujuliagrace I’m one of those Americans who wishes we had something like the NHS. Privatizing would be a step backwards. The closest I came to socialized medicine was when I lived in Canada for five years. It was a far better system than anything I had experienced in the U.S.
@jujuliagrace I grew up with the NHS and always loved it. I appreciated it even more once I moved to the US and discovered the "joys" of massively expensive health insurance that still leaves you paying large bills. What's happening to the NHS under the Tories is nothing less than tragic. People in the UK need to fight to save and strengthen the health service.
@jujuliagrace I am in the U.S. we are what privatizing ends up looking like and it isn't pretty.
@jujuliagrace I did not know this but I live in the US. Was just talking about how wonderful it would be to have the British healthcare system
I Pledge Allegiance to the Tyranny

Manifesto outlines the tyrannical qualities of the US gov't, and the need for a proper representing system of society, and a functioning economy.

@jujuliagrace I was with you on the Birdy site so it makes sense to keep in touch here on dinos-r-us.

@jujuliagrace I know what the NHS is. It's Britain's healthcare system right? I'm from Brazil so I don't really have a dog in the fight. I guess I'm against it, but I mean I'm so far removed - I think I should have a position on Brazilian politics more than British politics?

Here in brazil the equilvalent is SUS, and it's kind of an option between bad exiseant healthcare almost bankrupting the state or people actually dying - I prefer bankrupting the state so far.

@jujuliagrace Followed. Healthcare should be free and available to all and absolutely NOT privatized.

@jujuliagrace American here.

Absolutely, do not let them privatize the NHS any more than they already have. The too-wealthy and power-hungry will gladly deny healthcare to others if it gives them more power and money.

@jujuliagrace And I absolutely hate all this privatisation by the back door and deliberate non-action to increase dissatisfaction to push people towards private care. It’s all part of their evil plan .

@jujuliagrace keep the NHS in public hands

@jujuliagrace

I'm a USian, so following me is probably not going to be useful, though I'm about to click the #Boost button.

@jujuliagrace Thank you for your hard work supporting the NHS and opposing privatization. #SaveNHS
@jujuliagrace
I'm from and in the US, so probably not helpful fighting all that. I guess I could send a sternly worded letter.
