Bret Stephens is on vacation so I've been asked to take his place tomorrow....here's a preview of my argument.

Whether it's armed Republican activists erecting a gallows outside the US Captiol and chanting "Hang Mike Pence," or leftists on Twitter suggesting that Neo-Nazis should be banned from the platform, it's clear that both sides have been seduced by the dangerous siren song of Cancel Culture.

Since the NYTimes Pitchbot person is not here yet, I figured I'd try my hand at it.

@sethcotlar

Wait what? You're making a false equivalence between Nazis who wanted to assassinate a vice president, versus people who want to ban Nazis? You kidding me?

That's a vile argument and you should reconsider.

@sean It's a joke, making fun of people who make such false equivalencies.

@sethcotlar

Got it. You're missing the sarcasm font 🤣

@sethcotlar @sean I honestly couldn’t tell either if this was your actual position or satire. Consider /s, 🤡 or something to help us out.
@sethcotlar
Good job filling in for Pitchbot. You can be a favorite fill-in like Joan Rivers was for Johnny Carson...until it went south.
@sethcotlar Oh, let's go for equivalency and debate whether those neo-Nazis should be shot in sight...
@sethcotlar Nice try but CC is in their minds purely left wing phenomenon. It doesn't work when you both-side it.
