Look Fahrenheit has a lot of problems but you gotta respect a system that’s based on the logic of “100 hots? That’s too hot. 0 hots? That’s too cold.”
@luxalptraum Then again, for a planet where water is essential to life — and which is 71% covered in the stuff — using the freezing and boiling points of water as key temperature markers seems vaguely sensible? Would Dolphins give a &@#% about Fahrenheit?
@steamrunner @luxalptraum Zero Fahrenheit was meant to be the freezing point of brine, which that 71% basically is. Also 100 was supposed to be normal human body temperature, it got recalibrated later I think
