Heads up 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩

White folx asking me to not talk about whatever the fuck I want to because it’s divisive and why ā€œcan’t we all just get along"…no the fuck we can’t

You can take your ā€œI don’t see colorā€ lying ass to someone else’s TL

NOWHERE IN DOCUMENTED HISTORY HAS MY, OR ANY OTHER BLACK PERSON, SHARING OUR LIVED EXPERIENCES EVER HALTED WHITE SUPREMACY AND ANTI-BLACKNESS FROM INFLICTING HARM…IT’S THE OPPOSITE

Your desire to cling to strategic ignorance is telling

@KimCrayton1
I’m glad that you speak out, that you’re confident of your thinking, that, at least for me, your writing resonates. You give me hope. Thank you.

@KimCrayton1 picturing this in a board meeting with some chairs hurled makes this even better
@KimCrayton1 Some people never want their bubble to be burst by people who never got to be in a bubble, but those are the people who need it the most, thanks for speaking out.
@KimCrayton1 Ughhhh. If you ever want a white person to tackle the white fragility, tag me in.
@caryn @KimCrayton1 same. Refusing to talk about race in America honestly and openly is a recipe for continued repression and suffering. When white people can only muster ā€œyou better shut up someone might get hurtā€ how can they deny the existence of a problem?
@hwestiii @caryn @KimCrayton1
I’m also happy to play the role of ā€œwhite nonsenseā€ buffer and bouncer when needed.
@KimCrayton1 I truly don't understand people on here, or any site, really, who feel it's their job to tell other people what to talk about. *sigh*
@jferg @KimCrayton1
It’s a tell that they’re consciously or unconsciously invested in maintaining a status quo that grants them privilege and comfort. They get uncomfortable when they’re confronted with the reality that their privilege comes at the expense of other people’s safety.
@KimCrayton1 White folks been on one since the first Twitter migration.

They really believe they own this space and set the rules.

I’ve always found that hilarious. Just the abject resistance to reality itself.
@KimCrayton1 This place is still too white and middle to upper middle class but hopefully it will change soon since Twitter is a shitfactory on fire.
@KimCrayton1 I don’t get where this comes from. There is no algorithmic feed here. They don’t like what you have to say? Don’t fucking follow you: easy!
@pbrane @KimCrayton1 I think where it's coming from is the part of whiteness-as-a-practice (especially among men) that asserts entitlement to weigh in and have their opinion respected no matter the subject or forum, particularly if the ongoing discourse challenges their thinking or behavior. "No one asked you" isn't something white men hear nearly enough, speaking as a passing-as-white man.
@KimCrayton1 People who say they don't see colour are only trying to cop out of dealing with & talking about racism. They expose themselves when opting to use that statement. Unless they're actually physically blind/optically challenged, everyone sees colour.
@KimCrayton1
Just that in and of itself is promoting the comfort of whites above bipocs. It's not "I don't see colour". It's "I refuse to acknowledge the suffering of others caused by a system that benefits me and I don't want you reminding me about it."
@BlippyTheWonderSlug
@KimCrayton1 Give it to them where it hurts! 😔✊
