At least 66 abortion clinics in 15 states have closed in the past six months. The result? Women wanting to end pregnancies are facing clandestine medical procedures, grueling travel, and fear of arrest. https://www.newyorker.com/news/dispatch/the-secret-abortions-of-texas
@runasand foretold tale, unfortunately. Happens everywhere, everytime, and the ones who suffer more are poor women - rich ones find their way into more "elegant" solutions.
@runasand It seems like everyone has forgotten about these cruel, barbaric laws that the Supreme Court has imposed on humanity!! FFS!!
@runasand This report is so infuriating. Health care should be a right for everyone. I’m so sick of these so called “pro lifers”. They only want to control.
@runasand There are many cases in my family of the aftermath of this. Three of my cousins were born in an era of abortion prohibition and they are not okay to put it mildly. My own mother got pregnant by accident and was forced to keep me. Living like that is miserable. My father disappeared, and I spent fifteen years bouncing between family members, most of whom kept reminding me that I was not wanted. Ten years of intensive therapy later, and it still haunts me.
