Loneliness at Christmas:👇❤️‍🩹

@WesElyMD
Last year was the first year of splitting Xmas for my son and his girlfriend, now fiancé. I spoke up as I felt it was important for them to know the pain I felt at Xmas and how not seeing them would be really hard. We worked it out for this year and I’m so much more at peace.
@WesElyMD And a reminder that the bird site deleted access to suicide prevention resources. People likely also need a reminder to check in on friends over the holidays - as 3y of this pandemic and the isolation it has induced are certainly not helping. #ReachOut #ShareSomeKindness #TheLifeYouSaveMightBeYourOwn #MentalHealthResources
@WesElyMD thanks for posting this...

#joinin for those here, or on the birdsite who would like to limit that loneliness as bit

@WesElyMD If you call 988 or the national suicide prevention hotline in NM, unless you are actually suicidal, the lady people usually get will go out of her way to get you off the phone while treating you like it's nothing

I'm not suicidal right now but I am lonely and alone today. I'm sad and that hotline will not do a damn thing for me if I called.

I'm just being honest here. These days I feel like those hotlines are more designed to keep taxpayers alive and working more than anything else
