@SebRaschka I didn't enjoy the movie for other reasons, story related, but generally, it does not claim to be animated. Pretending to be live action but looking like anime was not a positive aspect for me.

(Btw I heard that the scenes had different qualities due to different rendering tech being used, and some scenes were even slightly stuttering due to frame rate problems)

@SebRaschka my opinion: the tech related scenes (boats, helicopters etc.) looked real. The nature related scenes not so much.
