Is like #finishingthingsFriday a thing? I finally picked up the mittens I started knitting in February, reckoning I had plenty of time till Boxing Day. I have now finished *one* of them. #MorrisDancing #fingerlessmitts
@bohemiancoast I love the design! Is there somewhere I can purchase the pattern?
@NicoleJLeBoeuf @westerling the pattern’s called Marvelous Mitts by Karendipity on Ravelry - https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/marvelous-mitts but I have (a) used three colours not two (you just need to keep track, untangle as you go, and have a swear box), and (b) put my own charts in for the Chingford-y bits (pixel art attached) which I just sub in for the charts in the pattern. I’m BohemianCoast on Ravelry (I don’t have a lot of projects on there, but I do have the previous version of these mitts).

Try your artistic hand at these beautiful mitts. The secret recipe is to combine a multi color and a solid yarn. Pattern includes detail instruction on the twined herringbone border, a cool braided cast on, tutorials on fair isle techniques like holding the yarns, trapping the floats, tension issues, and blocking.

BohemianCoast's Chingford Morris Mitts

July 17: I finished these months ago but for some reason didn’t upload the photos. I love them to bits and wear them regularly. All the Morris side admire them greatly. I will try to get someone t...

@bohemiancoast @westerling Oh, fantastic! Thank you! Added the Marvelous Mitts pattern to Library with intent to purchase when I get a moment. Favorited your notes. I am a somewhat inconsistent user of Ravelry's social functions, way behind on my pic uploads, but I'm NicoleJLeBoeuf there just like here.
@NicoleJLeBoeuf @bohemiancoast That random person that friended you a bit ago on Rav was me, I meant to give you a headsup but things were a little nuts right then. 😂
@westerling @bohemiancoast Whee new fiber friends!

@NicoleJLeBoeuf @bohemiancoast

I have to admit, I've been slacking on the knitting lately (and way behind on any knitting pictures) but man have I got my spinning stuff up-to-date.

@westerling @bohemiancoast Spinning! My Schacht Matchless sits in the corner and glares at me for not having touched it in WAY too long. Somewhere on the birdsite is a photo of my bunny licking it, accompanied by (of course) a bredlik pome. Have to repost it here if I can find it.

The main reason I'm absent from ravelry is I've rediscovered a love for shuttle tatting, which rav doth not acknowledge.

@NicoleJLeBoeuf @bohemiancoast Ah, that's something I haven't tried yet. It's on the list *looks at list and despairs* I picked up spindle spinning a few years ago and then 2 years ago a friend gave me an Ashford Trad and I took to it immediately, so now I do both. Things have been a bit rough with my parents in the last few years and this is basically the only thing getting me through rn.
@westerling @bohemiancoast I'm so sorry to hear things are tough. Glad the spinning is taking the edge off.

PS def want to see bunne.
