seated for Revolution + 1, let's see how it compares to the previous version...

saw the final version of Revolution +1 this morning, themes and visual approach are the same, but it's better than the previous one, with a perfect soundtrack by Ōtomo Yoshihide, and a beautiful ending (inspired, my guess, like other Adachi's films, by Auguste Blanqui's writings).
The end credits were in Japanese and English (subtitles by Julian Ross), so maybe will see it at some international film festivals...Berlin perhaps?

the look is that of a very low-budget movie, with some interesting visual choices interspersed here and there, but more than ever what counts here is the context, the fact that te movie exists and was released few months after the assassination, and what the film is trying to expose and highlight...the life of a person and his family destroyed by a religious cult and a politician (and his party)
@matteoB Sembra interessantissimo, se arriva a Okayama vado a vederlo, grazie della segnalazione.
@panapp cheap looking però, vai per il contenuto...
@matteoB Probably gonna watch that next week. Very curious how it turned out.
@komdehagens don't expect too much from the visual or cinematic point of view
@matteoB Of course not. That will probably be very basic.
