Elon Musk orders removal of Twitter suicide prevention feature, sources say

The removal of the feature, known as #ThereIsHelp, has not been previously reported. It had shown at the top of specific searches contacts for support organizations in many countries related to men…

New York Post
@anthony @w7voa I just don’t understand why he would order the removal of something that is a public good. What is wrong with him?
@stopthatgirl7 @anthony @w7voa Exactly this. I just asked my husband what benefit is there to remove the referrals to suicide hotlines? And posts of self-harm have skyrocketed. I used to think EM was gross, but these decisions are beyond revolting.
@anthony Yet another erratic action that will fire back at him.

@anthony my mind boggles at his logic behind this. I can see his justification with cost cutting, but this seriously couldn't cost anything.

Maybe there is a pattern. Remove all moderation, support hate speech, remove any support for victims of hate speech. 😥

@anthony Good riddance to the obnoxious message that appeared when searching the marijuana hashtag though
@anthony
At some point it would be nice to remove all the idolatry heaped on the billionaires of our country
@anthony Space Karen is going to get people killed
@anthony did it cost money to have it or something? Or does he really hate the commonfolk that much?
@anthony -- Twitter is no longer even PRETENDING to have a social conscience.

@anthony

I mean, maybe. But why add a source that reduces credibility instead of increases it?

NYPost is not a source for anything. If they told me it was cold outside right now, I'd have to go and check.

@anthony He is pure evil. No moral compass whatsoever.
@anthony is Twitter still a thing? Well, maybe for the cult of #Elmo.
R;pple Suicide Prevention

R;pple exists to reduce exposure to harmful online content relating to Self-harm and Suicide through a real-time banner display and keyword configuration to encourage mental health support and awareness.

@anthony didn’t users vote him out of office?
Why hasn’t he stepped down yet?
