Kids today have no idea how bad food used to be. Mine asked me if I liked sushi when I was their age and I had to tell them that the only "asian food" available in an American suburb in the 1980s was that chow mein that came in a can with the crunchy noodles on top.
@blueteamgoon For real, I imagine that most Gen X / older millennials probably didn’t have sushi until they were adults? Of course there are exceptions, but yeah Asian food offerings in the suburbs in the 80s/90s weren’t that sophisticated, for the most part. I once went to a friend’s birthday party AT A BENIHANA and wow did we think that was the shit.
