Tbh the only thing I truly enjoy are the mildly awkward halfway alt/goth anime girls. And because this art style is as not white-passing as me, I'm so used to being maligned for it that I'm still super uncomfortable about being public about it.
Not only my art teacher didn't successfully beat the Asian out of me, she also couldn't force me to love the rapey American comics. So I guess I'm a double failure for her lol.
Progression today. I want my marrrrrrrrkeerrrrrrrrrs, I need my marrrrrrrkeerrrrrrrrrrs.
Ok that aside, I'm ok with having these still in need of final touch, if it comes to that.
HAHAHAHA OMG it just occurred to me, I dreamed that I posted what my inktober was about, but I never actually did it. So here:
Essentially it's a similar appearance to Food Fantasy character design, but themed on poisonous plants. A particular thing I want to achieve is avoid the Same Face Syndrome. A particular thing I know no way I'd ever achieve is doing it within thirty one days.
There are some other challenges: I'd like to look at the origin of each plants and aim to work in the rep of people from there. But of course, simply because I'd be ecstatic about being compared to a poisonous plant, somehow I don't think everyone else will be.
My doom on human interactions is basically, however I want to be treated, 50% time most normal people want the opposite of that.
I can't be bothered to work on this anymore (but also not much can be done without my tools) so calling it complete.
Angel's Trumpet. Hails from tropical South America, I was expecting a morning glory lookalike but turns out they are massive. Can cause paralysis, altered conscious state, and hallucinations that lead to people eating them. This family of plants caused the spinach hallucinations.

Number 2, arum lily. I can't even call them days or inktober anymore because I just ignore the whole time thing.
