It is, after all, a handsome old monster: built in 1936 and consisting of one single block (first photo) at right angles to a triple-array wall of deco, with a caretaker’s cottage in between the two. The scheme was built on the site of an old vicarage, and faces across Sandy Lane to Bushy Park so, traffic noise notwithstanding, it’s a pretty fine location.
