I’m going hard at breakfast food on Sunday: an oven-baked french toast, yeasted waffles, tiny pancakes to put on the french toast and yeasted waffles, somehow tiny waffles to put on french toast and pancakes. I thought I invented a new breakfast food: dried/staled waffles, soaked in a custard, and cooked again — french waffles. MAIS NON! This is already a thing! Guafre perdues!
