Nighttime photos taken recently in far west #Texas, just north of Big Bend NP. This area is part of the Greater Big Bend International Dark Sky Reserve and as you would expect the star/planet/Milky Way visibility here is incredible. Some other mysterious lights occasionally appear in the desert night sky as well...

@gkemp not on this trip, but years ago I spent a long evening hanging out at the Marfa lights viewing spot, waiting & watching. Did I see anything? Mayyyybe? Could have been distant car lights or something similar though. Whatever they didn’t meet my expectations, I think if we had seen the fabled lights for real they would have looked more…fabulous.
