There's an argument a person could make for commemorating all of the innocent victims of Nazi Germany, and raising further awareness of the full extent of the evil the Nazis perpetrated—that it wasn't only Jews they targeted. This ain't it.

Your only reason for not throwing tomato soup at a monument that is dedicated to people who also died is ... that there are hungry people? Also a dig at BLM and Indigenous protesters while you're at it, using racist language to describe them?

He is part of that very minor rump of Ukrainian Canadians who continued their parents or grandparents blinkered bigotry here. Problem is that they claim to represent "real" Ukrainian Canadians, when in fact he has spent his life being a horrible reactionary gasbag.
He's a tenured scholar of the Soviet Union. While he is a well researched proper scholar and right about that he's wrong about pretty much everything else.

The thing in this piece about not tearing down statues is, I suspect, not really about the Holocaust monument.
