Cast iron, stucco, stock brick and stained glass abound. Luckily for all you good people there’s a mildly streamline/deco block of flats as well, Hillview, which the local estate agents date to the 1930s (though I’m unconvinced, there’s a stripped back 50s vibe here, though the portholes and ocean liner detailing are very stylish). All replacement windows, of course, but through those windows residents can enjoy one of the finest (and most protected) views in England.
