People who are disabled, immunocompromised, have chronic illness, and the elderly have been attending public meetings on a regular basis to advocate for protections like mask mandates. Thank you! I'm so angry officials keep making us spend so much time begging for basic safety.

I am also tired of the narrative that no one is pushing back on the dropping of public health protections. The people who are at highest risk are organizing and winning, while dealing with health conditions. It's horrible that progressive politicians and nonprofits have abandoned them. People who are chronically ill shouldn't have to keep begging for their lives!

@luckytran I am immunocompromised, and had to go for an MRI yesterday (possible torn meniscus) I and one other person were the only two in the office wearing masks. The person on the desk had one on, but was wearing it under her chin. Iโ€™ve decided most people donโ€™t care if we die. Itโ€™s really hard to accept, but true.
@luckytran
My music teaching studio requires masks at lessons and classes, as it has since we returned to in person fall of 2020. How is maintaining that *not* a push back or an act of resistance?
Iโ€™m with you, the narratives that ignore large segments of the population and consistently minimize instead are infuriating.
