Given Musk's latest dishonest tantrum over public ADSB flight telemetry, I decided to link up our ground station that has fed FlightAware and ADSBExchange for years to @openskynetwork.

Supporting open source aviation telemetry is vital to research, geopolitical analysis and incident response.

@jamiesaker @openskynetwork It might be time for me to finish the ads-b project and throw it on the roof. Especially since I'm on a couple pretty busy flight paths.

@blueben @openskynetwork Definitely great time to get those going. I've got an upgraded antenna to mount on a 30' tower for our ADS-B coverage but need a lift to install it.

We're in Offutt AFB's landing flight path for runway 13/31 and get a lot of fascinating aircraft including the Nightwatch E-4Bs (National Emergency Airborne Command Post). Always interesting hearing a 747 under 5,000 feet with callsigns like GORDO14, GRIM99, TITAN25, ECTO84, AMPEX18, CLUB22 and the ominous reference to Star Wars ORDER66.

@jamiesaker @openskynetwork I'm on paths for kpae, ksea, and kbfi, and could probably pick up traffic for a few other smaller airfields nearby as well. Sadly I'm probably too far for most JBLM traffic. Not crawling on the roof in the snow though!
