While I get your concern about bigness & commercialism, *I* see a small instance in which none of the users make controversial posts as quite immune from blocking. *MY* worry is about instances of any size getting entirely blocked because of some users who post things that are within Federation rules, but that some people don't like: nudity (even with CW), opinions on one extreme or the other of the political spectrum, advocacy for controversial causes like #BDS (boycotting Israel).
