@jgownder @jeffjarvis He's clearly a genius at self-promo, as seen by the way he managed to get himself into so many pix with the Argentinian players *holding the trophy* (and even managed the shake the trophy out of their hands and do his "salt bae" thing on it).
He has a cosmic level of chutzpah, literally orders of magnitude more than most, that I expect opens doors we (or at least I) simply cannot imagine.
@jgownder @jeffjarvis One of my hobbies is reading about scams and cons, and you see this pattern often in that sphere. After all, the very word "con" comes from "confidence man".
(TBH, not 100% sure if it means "a person who is confident" or "a person who gains one's confidence", but surely the former is a huge part of the latter. Most of the cons in history have had some kind of swagger appropriate to their field. I use that last clause to include people like SBF.)

indriKurz has been a major disappointment and his involvement with Thiel makes it worse, but the party is center-right similar to the party of former chancellor Merkel.
