Oh. my. god.

Madison Square Garden used facial recognition to identify and stop a mom from attending a Christmas show with her kid because she's an attorney at a firm who is engaged in litigation with them.

This is why it's not enough to just ban government and law enforcement use of #facialrecognition. There are so many ways private companies and even individuals can abuse #biometric #surveillance tech.

#BanFacialRecognition entirely. Yesterday.

@evangreer I understand the lack of reasoning with tech bros and how they put their stuff all over the place like a 3 year old.

Wear a mask, if possible wear sunglasses too
Wear a hat, a beanie, something to cover your hair
A Balaklava would take care of the above, but not always a reasonable wear.

Besides, we're still in a pandemic, wearing a mask should be a normal thing.

Give yourself a layer of viral protection and a layer of privacy protection at the same time

@littletranspunk @evangreer I would, but sadly it is illegal where i live. The police requires like three of your facial features to be seen at all times and are not shy about fining people for it. I often do it anyway, but if you are anywhere remotely close to them, you are in trouble.
@catraxx @evangreer that sounds illegal to have such laws. If you're in the us, then I would think it could fall under freedom of expression since clothing can be speech in its own way
