In (dis)honour of the gorram cold snap we're having in #yeg, my morning playlist will consist of all the songs I have in my iTunes/Bandcamp with "cold" in the title. First up is Coldsweat by #TheSugarcubes, which has nothing to do with being cold and is more about, err, hot meat. Iceland knows all about cold weather though, so works for me.

Next up on It's So Cold It's Even 20 Degrees Colder Than Nunavut is Cold by the utterly amazing, metal af Inuk throat and improvisational singer #TanyaTagaq. Some may recognize her from her work on #Björk's Medúlla album (an all-time fave!), and #bookstodon folks should check out her book Split Tooth. Seeing her live is the most intense experience I've ever had.

Next up on It's Cold But Now I Feel Colder Because This Album Makes Me Sad About It's Existence is Cold Hands by #AFI. I looooved this band, like wrote an English 101 paper on Black Sails in the Sunset and seeing them live, I wanted an Art of Drowning inspired full sleeve for years, and they're the only band I've paid to join the fan club for. I do like Decemberunderground, but really they died for me with Sing the Sorrow. Not sure why I still check out each new album.
