Daniel Pinkwater, one of the finest authors in the world, is here at
@danielpinkwater. He'd probably love to be welcomed...
@neilhimself @danielpinkwater thank you for the heads up. I adore Pinkwaters work, and I'm so happy to see him here.
@TracyRowan @neilhimself You can see me?
@danielpinkwater @TracyRowan @neilhimself we can all see you and we’re happy as carrion birds
@datn @neilhimself @TracyRowan Speaking of which there are 4 vultures taking five way up in a tree, and the collie is beside herself dancing and barking below them. Hard to tell who is having the most fun.

@danielpinkwater @datn @neilhimself ❤️❤️❤️

She really is a lovely creature. BTW, I am glad to be able to say thank you for "Fish Whistle." Not only did "The Soul of a Dog" make me weep, but the title essay made me laugh for 10 minutes and so hard that I was grateful that I had been reading in the bathroom.

And now I'm going to wish you a happy holiday season and quit bugging you. Thank you for being here.

@TracyRowan @datn @neilhimself You know the famous punchline, "Dying is easy, comedy is hard." Pathos is easy too. Soul of a Dog was originally a radio commentary, and it came on the air while Jill and I were driving. I was scared that someone blinded by tears would collide with us. No reflection on you--telling about the death of a pet is a cheap trick that will affect almost anybody, and please note, I only did it once.
@danielpinkwater @datn @neilhimself cheap or not, it touched me deeply ❤️
