Yes, it doesn't HAVE to be a woman, but let's not pretend we don't know who has been forced into that role in the past.

Nowadays women are expected to work as much as men or to earn less, while they still pick up most of the duties around the house.

That needs to change.

40 hours is more than what is optimal efficiency, and working less would give more time for everyone to do the chores - without having one side who takes on most of the responsibilities.
@sb I have always only signed contracts for 30hrs/week in order to be there for my family. I didn't want to be a weekend dad.
