There is a mandatory IRS audit for sitting United States Presidents

Why didn’t the IRS audit Trump in 2017, 2018 and 2019?

@flexghost Doesn't it just figure? We get all ready to laugh at him, but no, instead, it's institutional corruption! Of course it is.
@Tweetfiction they’re stalling. They’re always stalling.
@flexghost Charles Rettig. In the barrel.

@flexghost

There's not enough time to investigate with the current House.

And the incoming GQP House won't investigate the Department of the Treasury to question why Dotard wasn't audited.

@flexghost Because the IRS commissioner Charles Rettig was a Trump appointee who in 2016 wrote an article for Forbes defending Trump’s lame excuse not to release his tax returns. We also have an FEC that declined to prosecute Trump’s hush money payments and other campaign violations, and a SCOTUS that shut down his case on violating the emoluments clauses. So many of these supposed checks on corruption and levers of accountability have been headed by partisans and cowards.

@flexghost

in a word: corruption

We won't have a functioning country until we crush corruption under the hammer of justice.

@flexghost cause Republicans cheat. Everyone knows that.
@flexghost Mnuchin running interference for the Orange one? Say it isn’t so!
@flexghost Scumbag Narcissistic sociopath #TraitorTrump appointed Scumbags everywhere in his corrupt administration. #trumpcrimesyndicate
@flexghost Because IRS Commissioner Rettig is compromised, imo. I reported Trump to the IRS in 2015 when the IRS claimed I made a $900 error on my 2012 return. Took me 2 years to fight it, but they ended up owing me monies so I changed them for interest. 😁
@EWeezy28 he’s doing the job he was appointed to do. Which is bad.
