Madison Square Garden used facial recognition to identify and stop a mom from attending a Christmas show with her kid because she's an attorney at a firm who is engaged in litigation with them.

This is why it's not enough to just ban government and law enforcement use of #facialrecognition. There are so many ways private companies and even individuals can abuse #biometric #surveillance tech.

#BanFacialRecognition entirely. Yesterday.

And we call on lawmakers to enact a ban on all use of facial recognition in places of public accommodation, as defined by the ADA.

@evangreer This is how the Boston Marathon Race bombers were caught. Public cameras. I have no problem with facial recognition and public cameras. Try walking in London without being on a dozen cameras.

The use that the Madison Square Garden used it for is despicable and they should pay a penalty. Not attending anything in MSG I can easily do. (I live in Boston)
