Alex Holcombe@richvn @deevybee From its beginning the Royal Society accepted many fellows much more because of them being rich or associated with prestige in wider society rather than being good scientists. (I have only read about the early history of the Roy Soc so I don't know how long that practice continued or if it ever stopped).
@dickretired@richvn I don’t find it difficult to find posts on Mastodon. i have taken the step of following as many people as I can. I just think we all need to learn how to use Mastodon well.
