Hey everyone. Just a reminder that you don't have to put up with bullying, shaming or guilt-tripping, just because it is Christmas.

If you don't want to see those relatives, you don't have to.

If you don't want to cook a huge dinner you don't have to.

If you don't feel like celebrating, you don't have to.

And don't let Christmas adverts bully you into being anxious. They just want your money, they don't care about your wellbeing.

Christmas is just one day. Be true to yourselves and put your mental and physical health first.

@DoraDisorder sigh, I so appreciate you expressing this. I just wish I didn’t have to relate. Years ago I had to tell my mother to please not come to dinner for the sake of my family’s peace of mind :/
I feel sad for my child that they have to live this way but I don’t want to pass internalized self-hatred onto them via abuse from loved ones.
