"I just sent a gift to your email. I hope you love it. 🎁" from a number I don't know and it's a scam. Should I fuck with them or no
Too late I'm goin in
@ADDiane got popcorn, awaiting developments

@ADDiane I once went in into the scam "cable company gives you 50% discount but please pay this month in advance using an Amazon gift card that you give to us."

The scammers had background music for their phone and all. The scammer had a distinctive foreign accent that they tried to conceal. The scammer also tried to impersonate two different people, the last one a very failed attempt to mimic a Texan accent by talking slowly and slightly changing the vocabulary.

I finally told them I knew it was all a scam, but that I wanted in. I wanted to be part of the team. They still would not confess.

@ADDiane Ha! I saw this as a stand-alone comment and thought this was about the bank robbery 😂
@curtisysmith FUCK 😂😂😂😭💀
@ADDiane A local punk singer, down on his luck, decided to rob a bank. Through the drive thru!! While in line, he realized what a flawed plan it was and called it off, but couldn’t get out of the line of cars. While waiting, the Steve Miller Band song, Take the Money and Run came on the radio. He took it as a sign from God and sent the robbery note to the teller when he got to the window . He only spent a couple of years in jail. 😳😂 This was the first thing I thought of when I saw your poll.
@ADDiane yes, of course. Because it's #tuesday

Just delete the conversation. Any response will only encourage them
@ADDiane nope. Stay hidden behind the blood as the angel of death passes your door.
@ADDiane I used to fuck with them by playing along. But it does encourage them more. It's also not clear how much of it is bot activity versus humans.
@ADDiane I used to play along and mess with them, then my husband told a phone scammer to fuck off. We got 3am phone calls for a week until we unplugged the landline.
@ADDiane No! They'll stick to you like super glue-impregnated Velcro.
