Why did Attila and his huns transition from farmers & herders to violent raiders who attacked the Roman Empire? A new study published in the Journal of Roman Archaeology says the study of tree rings indicates it was drought.

(Raise your hand if you're surprised that climate change likely played a role. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?)

So #MadMax was a documentary? 🙂

@montepaulsen - 😆 😬 Eeesh, let's hope not. Wasn't Mad Max's particular dystopia set in the aftermath of nuclear war?
@erinwhalen You’re probably correct. I suppose I’ve rearranged the facts to suit a climate change narrative in my memory. Great article, regardless. For those of us privileged to live among the 1%, climate disruption may take the form of increasingly agressive refugees.
@erinwhalen I shudder to think how this type of scenario will play out, now that our horses and swords have given way to missiles and drones.
@erinwhalen Huns are coming from Middle Asia which 3 brute nations(Mongolians,Turks,Huns) are dwells. İt's not surprising that they changed(from Turkey) And this research is a nice sign that indicates us when food is not secured, people will go aggressive.
