Congress didn’t include the expanded Child Tax Credit in its spending bill.

It would have covered 19 million children.

You know what they did include?

A Medicaid eligibility check.

As many as 15 million people risk losing coverage.

Our priorities could not be more twisted.

@rbreich
I guess none of them ever heard of Paul Wellstone, who said:

"We all do better when we all do better."

@rbreich What the hell happened to the government doing the will of the people???
@rbreich The GOP is focused on elimination of poor people by any means necessary. The costs enormous. Their intentions essentially abandon all who enter here. W/O privilege of inheritance.
@Clarity @rbreich Nah, not eliminate. Try just want to make sure we keep submitting to their eternal indentured servitude. If we have a leg to stand on we won’t be as easy to keep down. They have nothing without us. Who will make them money?
@rbreich so why didn’t the democrats include that in the bill?
Yeah, I get it, the republicans block a lot, but did they even try and get it on the record the republicans voter against it?
@rbreich money is never an object when it comes to buying toys for the military. But if you want to help someone in need, we never have enough. The system is broken. The priorities are backwards.
@rbreich Sadly, nothing will change. I have no idea anymore how to get the change we need, either. It feels like no matter who I vote for, the system will not allow change.

@rbreich Seems to be a trend. We have a Labor gov. (like your Dems) and they seem hell bent on ignoring the most vulnerable.

One of them said the environment was important for the money value!

@rbreich The "freedom" caucus read their King James version and they are just trying to "suffer the little children" literally
