The crew of the Iuventa, a rescue ship that has saved thosands of refugees in the Mediterranean Sea, now face up to 20 years in prison for the "crime" of saving the lives of those refugees! Incredibly, the Italian government has just announced that it is intervening in the trial - as plaintiffs - alleging that the Iuventa's life-saving missions have "embarrassed" Italy.
